could be removed. While the tree was off, special service personnel removed the tool string and made up a short pup joint above what was left. This allowed for a BOP stack to be stripped on and locked on the pup joint. The pup and the remaining tools could then be snubbed out once the master valve thawed.

 

 

Great White Pressure Control goes international once again. In July of 2009, Great White Well Control dispatched four special service crewmen to perform a dry ice freeze on a master valve in a production tree. During a coil tubing run, the company found they had stuck the tools across the master valves of the tree. The solution proposed by Great White Pressure Control / Well Control was to isolate the tree by freezing the lower master valve. This would hold the tools in place and contain the well while the upper section of the tree
